Steam Launches Family Sharing Beta

Steam Launches Family Sharing Beta

Steam launched a beta for its Family Sharing Plan yesterday.

The plan allows Steam users to share their game collection with family and friends.

The initial beta has sent out 1,000 invitations by e-mail to try out the beta.

Valve also is encouraging beta players to leave comments and bug reports in the feedback section, allowing them to optimize the plan itself.

According to GameSpot, “Valve is the first digital ecosystem to allow trading.” Xbox One initially followed this same plan, but decided to drop it due to harsh negative reactions from consumers.

This announcement comes alongside Valve’s Steam Machine unveiling. For more on the Steam Machines, click here.
