Tales of Arise is the latest title in the ‘Tales of‘ series, a JRPG franchise that’s been around since 1997.
Tales of Arise is set to release soon, and the free demo shows a small slice of gameplay, so players know what to expect. The game is also available for pre-order on all available platforms. Tales of Arise is very highly anticipated and this demo could help you find your next favourite game, but don’t expect your progress to carry over.
I miss when demos were more common. In the early days of the Xbox 360, games were required to have a demo. Choices and options are always good, and it’s a good marketing move too. Bandai Namco releasing the demo right before the game’s release is a good way to let players know the company believes in the game. It also lets you feel the game in your hands, and sometimes that’s all it takes to push me towards a purchase. The demo is available on Xbox and PlayStation platforms.
The Tales of Arise demo includes a portion of the game, but progress does not carry over to the full feature. The demo contains content from the full game, but some parts have been altered according to the demo’s description notes. The demo will allow players to engage in combat and see some unique traits that can be exploited during encounters. Players can also explore the lush world of Dahna and see how it’s “brought to life by the game’s Atmospheric Shader.”
Bandai Namco also released a new trailer for the game that shows off some features in the demo. Tales of Arise will be available on September 10, 2021 for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Anyone that plays the demo will also receive a ‘Vacation Hootle Doll’ in the full game.
