The Boys Are Back In Town

Today at CCXP, Prime Video revealed the first look at The Boys Season 4 with both a teaser trailer and new character posters.

Fans in attendance at this year’s CCXP event in São Paulo were treated to a surprise first look at Season 4 of Prime Video’s Emmy-nominated hit TV series The Boys. Coming to Prime Video sometime in 2024, The Boys Season 4 sees Victoria Neuman inching her way closer and closer to the Oval Office, with Homelander keeping a steady watch on proceedings.

The trailer gives us a great first look at Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead) and his interaction with Karl Urban’s Butcher, while building the tension for a confrontation between Homelander (Antony Starr) and Starlight (Erin Moriarty).

The Boys Season 4 had been put on hold indefinitely (at the time) due to the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike earlier this year, despite the show having finished filming entirely. In June of this year, series creator Eric Kripke had several posts on Twitter (X) explaining why the show was delayed despite filming being completed.

Prime Video has given this synopsis ahead of Season 4: “In Season Four, the world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son as well as his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.” A lot is at stake, and there is a lot to look forward to, it seems.

While we don’t have a firm date, Prime Video intends to release season 4 of The Boys sometime in 2024 on Prime Video, so hopefully, there won’t be too long to wait. A pre-release binge-watch of the first three seasons is absolutely in the cards ahead of this highly anticipated season.
