Multi-faceted actor, Mark Duplass let out a fright last evening on X (formerly Twitter) that teased the return of Peachfuzz, shortly after The Creep Tapes was revealed.
Nearly 10 years ago, Mark Duplass released a suspenseful horror film not like anything else called Creep in 2015. The film featured a different kind of socially awkward serial killer, who requests their victim film him for a whole day before the final act. The original film reached an almost instant cult-classic status, and a sequel, Creep 2 was greenlit and launched on Netflix in 2017.
Late yesterday evening, Mark Duplass (The League, Creep), the actor who plays Peachfuzz in both films, teased The Creep Tapes in an X post. The chilling post can be seen below, complete with the iconic wolf mask seen in both films.
The Creep Tapes is a (fictional) TV series that documents those tapes mentioned above the many-named serial killer Mark Duplass plays in the films. Due to the nature of the filming that occurred in the first two films, The Creep Tapes will likely explore a first-person POV of Peachfuzz’s victim shot with an amateur lens to increase suspense, as was done with the first two films.
Mark Duplass said “The series is based on a collection of video tapes in the secret vault of the world’s deadliest and most socially uncomfortable serial killer, who hires his victims to film him for the day under false pretenses,” as he confirms the TV series is being shopped to networks in an interview with Indiewire. It’s worth mentioning co-star and director of Creep, Patrick Brice, has served as director on every filmed episode thus far, so it’s safe to say fans will get that ‘authentic’ Creep experience.

The Creep Tapes has reportedly finished production in secret but has yet to launch a release date or even let us know where it will air. CGMagazine will notify fans when more information regarding the series comes out, but fans can also follow Mark Duplass’ X account for updates from the source.
