Snipes went to congratulate Mahershala, stating, “Congratulations and Salaam to Mahershala Ali, a beautiful and talented artist whose expressions I look forward to experiencing for many years to come. Inshallah, we will someday work together, welcome to the Daywalker Klique.”

The original Blade saw release all the way back in 1998. Since then, the film went on to become a cult classic among fans of both the comic series and those who are just into cheesy, vampire-themed romps. The series spawned two sequels, with Blade Trinity being the last entry into the series, which saw release in 2004.

Marvel has yet to release further details surrounding the Blade reboot —however, the film will likely be a part of phase 5, within Marvel’s upcoming release schedule of future movies.
