Fans of the long-running post-apocalyptic FPS RPG were treated to a brand new trailer to the newest installment in the series landing on XBOX.
The METRO 2039 trailer showcased a darker tone for the game, focusing more on the conflict of humans and the regimes that govern them instead of the horrific mutants that lurk above the underground sanctuaries. Captured entirely in-game, with a blend of first-person shots and custom camera angles, fans get a first look at the Fuhrer Hunter, the man who has washed the Metro in lies and propaganda to gain the ultimate power.
Blending METRO 2039’s trademark mix of immersion, survival, stealth, violence, and horror. Everything that makes defines the series has returned. Not only were players given a glimpse of the stunning new world and bleak atmosphere, they were also treated to first look at the Shatun weapon—new breaching charge for their arsenal, as well as new items, new mutant variants, and new ways to explore or take advantage of the environment.
