SoundPEATS likely isn’t the first name you think of when it comes to audio products such as headphones or earphones. Most people are likely to think of Sony, JBL, SkullCandy, etc. However, SoundPEATS has been around since 2010, making budget-priced gear that anyone should be able to reasonably afford. Today we are checking out the SoundPEATS A6 Bluetooth headphones and putting them to the test to see how they stack up in the ever-crowded headphone market.
Straight from the well-presented box, you find the A6 headphones, a carrying bag, charging cable, aux cable, and instruction manual. Given the price point of under $80 USD, SoundPEATS has included a generous amount of gear for the price. While the carrying bag is nothing to write home about, it’s still a welcome inclusion that I’d rather have vs. finding my own solution. The folding design is another feature I’m sure many will find useful when travelling with the SoundPEATS A6. They easily fold small enough to fit in backpacks or other medium or large purses.
The SoundPEATS A6 immediately impressed me with their build quality. The band and earpieces are made of sturdy, rigid plastic. The memory foam on the headband and earpieces was also very soft and comfortable while wearing them for longer use sessions. They had a wide range of adjustment to fit most users although, those with smaller heads may find they slip off their head easier than those with average sized heads.

The SoundPEATS A6 use 40 mm drivers which provide true stereo sound to the user and deliver very rich sound. SoundPEATS has also incorporated hybrid ANC technology which helps to reduce over 90% of background noise, making listening to various content much easier in noisier environments. The SoundPEATS A6 are built with Bluetooth 5.0 inside, making connecting to a wide variety of devices and systems quick and seamless. Pairing is as simple as turning the headset on and pairing to your device of choice.
While listening to music, the SoundPEATS A6 consistently left me amazed at the quality of the sound they produced. Bass gave very satisfying pounds while mid and high tones were crystal clear. I often found they produced sound better than much more premium brand headphones. On many occasions I found I was hearing sounds and tones from music that I hadn’t noticed or heard before. Music became much more enjoyable, and I often found that I was wearing them much more than I had worn other headphones in the past.
“In my weeks of extensive testing, the battery life of the SoundPEATS A6 was greater than any other headset I had tested.”
In my time of kicking back and watching movies or videos, the SoundPEATS A6 always had me feeling as though I had been pulled through whichever screen I was viewing through and had entered the area in which the video had been filmed. All sounds truly immersed the user in whatever you watched and made for a truly incredible experience.
In my weeks of extensive testing, the battery life of the SoundPEATS A6 was greater than any other headset I had tested. SoundPEATS rates the battery life at 27 hours with ANC mode on and up to 40 with it off. I was able to regularly get well over 30 hours of use in various modes of testing between ANC on and off. I could easily make it through a full week of listening to my different content before getting low battery warnings.
Overall, I must say I am thoroughly impressed with SoundPEATS and their A6 headphones. The sound quality is truly incredible for the price. The battery also feels as though it just keeps going on and on. The A6 delivers in all ways a quality set of headphones should. I can easily recommend the SoundPEATS A6 to anyone looking for a new set of headphones, even more so to those on a tight budget.
