It’s cleaning day. You must steel yourself and outfit your loadout with myriad cleaning products, empty the broom closet, move furniture, and prepare for an uphill battle against where you live. This is a tad dramatic, but it’s how I viewed my deep cleaning day monthly until the YEEDI C12 PRO PLUS Robot Vacuum and Mop graced my floors. This improved two-way floor cleaning option from the robotic experts at YEEDI allows you to focus on cleaning other areas around the house.
The YEEDI C12 PRO PLUS Robot Vacuum and Mop comes easy to set up. You can pull the device out of its packaging, plug it in, and get started immediately. What’s in the box: a command station where the device recharges against dirt hordes (this is also where it auto dumps the debris), a simple-to-setup mop attachment, the YEEDI C12 PRO PLUS itself, a small broom propeller, and an easy startup guide.
Instead of looking through the manual, I installed the YEEDI app on my smartphone. There, the setup is streamlined further to give you step-by-step instructions on how to make your floors cleaner. This is technology done right, and YEEDI deserves credit for making robot vacuums approachable to those less tech-savvy.

After set up, the YEEDI C12 PRO PLUS was ready to tackle the floor. I was unable to use advanced features until the app firmware was updated, but the device could run without the firmware. Owners would be cutting 50% of the device’s efficiency with this method, so it’s safe to say the app is almost necessary. The YEEDI app is simple to use, it gives the user total command over the robot and even allows for nifty mapping like covering certain rooms with ‘no go’ zones. YEEDI allows you to name your device, so I chose Yetti so it could rhyme with my dog’s name, Betty.
The YEEDI C12 PRO PLUS Robot Vacuum and Mop even maps your general room area and lets you know how small or large your area is by square foot. This is accurate to a precision point of 1-2 inches (~5cm) away from the real measurements of the room, the YEEDI C12 PRO PLUS doesn’t push itself too hard against walls, unlike proper measuring tape which acts like easily removable wallpaper. It’s true sorcery seeing the mapping in action. It feels like the YEEDI C12 PRO PLUS is crafting a Dungeons & Dragons level layout for you of your own home, but without any of the tabletop supplies.
The YEEDI C12 PRO PLUS is a wonder to behold in action. It sweeps efficiently, but the increase in effectiveness only happened when I set it to the highest setting, the lower settings leave some of the debris on the cutting room floor. On the “Max” setting, Yetti scooped all of Betty’s fur trapped under baseboards with the power of a 1980s Grandma amid an I Love Lucy marathon.
Better yet, Betty is a recently adopted dog, and she came to terms with her new roommate immediately. The YEEDI C12 PRO PLUS didn’t set off Betty, and it rids the house of her fall coat shed easily. Yetti acclimated into our family without growing pains expected of a new adoptee.
During the sweep, Yetti continually made itself walls so as to not slam into them, and gave itself boundaries so it wouldn’t fall down the stairs. After outlining the room that needs to be cleaned, it used a King of the Hill lawnmowing technique from Hank Hill himself to hit every inch of the floor. Where I was incredibly impressed, is when it stubbornly forced itself over the saddles separating the home’s rooms from each other. It took a step back and sped up to get over the saddles with a little difficulty, but it still worked amazingly.
One thing that is a bit of a pain is Yetti’s unwillingness to be disturbed when on the floor. You must hit the power button to pause operation before picking it up off the floor otherwise it yells at you to put it down. This is a little alarming (albeit hilarious), but it doesn’t seem to negatively affect the device. But for all intents and purposes I paused the device before picking it up again, and I recommend all users do the same.
With another dash of true magic, my Yetti didn’t need me to empty it. When it returns to it’s command centre, it automatically empties into a bagless container. Pressing the button to remove the debris collected is, like everything else the YEEDI does, very simple. The YEEDI C12 PRO PLUS Robot Vacuum and Mop is a big improvement over previous models.
I will admit, adding water to such an electric based device felt worrisome, but the convenient tank included with the YEEDI C12 PRO PLUS is easy to handle. You can fill it however much you want, attach the small tank, attach the floor mop attachment and set it like the vacuum and forget. The C12 PRO PLUS utilizes vibration technology for its mopping mode, so I figured tiles would be a problem. Luckily, I was wrong. The YEEDI C12 PRO PLUS tackles tiles easily enough. The cracks where grout sits is a notable spot that may need human intervention, but its easier than hitting the entire thing without the YEEDI C12 PRO PLUS’ help.

For my last test, I applied the YEEDI C12 PRO PLUS to my pool table that sits in my basement. It cleans the felt incredibly well, and it doesn’t scratch any wooden surfaces. Better yet, it sweeps under the rubber rails that line the rectangular base of the table, and it’s a pretty fun way to clean pool table felt. The YEEDI C12 PRO PLUS can even handle the harsh cement flooring condition of my basement. I was able to set it up, monitor while it mapped the basement area, and forget for an hour while it did its thing.
The YEEDI C12 PRO PLUS does have a few shortcomings. It does get trapped between TV table legs if you’re not careful, and sometimes the small raised circular bump can get stuck on lower edges. These situations could be remedied by helping it out a bit and giving it a good push. Consumers should note that this is not exactly a replacement for human intervention, it’s a complement to cleaning to maybe stave off another month before you have to get your hands dirty.
The YEEDI C12 PRO PLUS Robot Vacuum and Mop an innovative device. On one hand, this is a machine that maps your floors, sweeps and mops, empties itself, charges itself, and doesn’t cause stress for furry companions (only Betty was used for testing, this could be a problem in other households). Big pluses are added for getting rid of all the dog hair shedding/debris that can wedge itself by cabinet corners, while not making a big fuss (like me) while doing it.
On the other hand, it can get stuck on things and it comes with a steep price tag that makes it more of a luxury than a necessity. But, if homeowners/renters/pet owners have the means, the YEEDI C12 PRO PLUS Robot Vacuum and Mop is worth taking a look at to make life easier.
