Over 25 classic EA titles will soon be available via the online retail service.
Good Old Games (GOG), the one-stop online shop for classic PC games, has signed an agreement with EA that will allow the company to release more than 25 games from EA's old PC catalogue. The first games to hit the store are Wing Commander: Privateer, Dungeon Keeper and Ultima Underworld 1+2 (each available now for $5.99). GOG plans to gradually release titles over the next few months and the next batch will include Crusader: No remorse, Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, and Magic Carpet.
As a fan of old PC games this is pretty exciting news. The one downer is that the agreement doesn't include either System Shock or Syndicate - there are still some licensing issues to be worked out - but you'd have hope that GOG and EA will eventually be able to sort out any problems if there's enough demand for those games.
