Rebellion, the renowned company behind the likes of games such as Alien Vs Predator and more recently, The Sniper Elite series announces Strange Brigade.
The upcoming game will feature 1 to 4 player co-op action, set in remote corners of the world. Strange Brigade follows the exploits of the British Empire, specifically exploring fictional scenarios in which players assume the role of expeditioners known as the titular, Strange Brigade. Players will get the chance to face off against strange and bizarre creatures pulled straight out of ancient history and mythology. Strange Brigade members are tasked with exploring long forgotten ruins and ancient civilizations that are teaming with monsters and hidden dangers. Face off against the likes of Anubis, Egyptian Queens, mummies, skeletons and other manners of ghoulish threats. The game seems to be a lighthearted and humorous affair, with the trailer below, showcasing the pulpy, B-movie-like retro aesthetic of the game
The upcoming title looks reminiscent of games such as Left4Dead, replacing the zombies with the likes of monsters and fantasy based creatures. Not much else is known about Strange Brigade, but Rebellion has promised to bring the title to E3 2017. Strange Brigade is set out for release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam.
