With Q3 now finishing up, the results are in from Konami, and things are looking good overall. With the flagship title, Metal Gear Solid V, selling another million units from October to December 2015.

Beyond just the sales of Metal Gear Solid, the Digital Entertainment division showed a noticeable increase in profit moving from 15.8% the same quarter last year to 27.3% in 2015. This is attributed to strong e-AMUSEMENT Participation, strong sales of the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand worldwide, and the sales of Metal Gear Solid V and Winning Eleven 2016.

The report also gives a brief glimpse into what Konami has planned for 2016, and unless you enjoy mobile games, Yu-Gi-Oh!, or Jikkyou, you may be out of luck. Konami is in an odd place, with them no longer working with Hideo Kojima, creator of Metal Gear Solid, and that being one of the biggest sellers from last year, it is unclear what they will do going forward. It also shows there is still profit from AAA titles even in a mobile, free to play landscape.
