Final Fantasy VII Remake’s Xbox Release Date Leaked

This Leak Are Mistake

Final Fantasy VII Remake’s Xbox Release Date Leaked 1

Xbox Germany posted a video on their Facebook page announcing Final Fantasy VII Remake for Xbox One on March 3rd, 2020.

The video, which has since been taken down and apologized for, seems to indicate that the proper reveal of which consoles FFVIIR will be on is coming soon. Considering the German source, the most likely culprit is the late-August Gamescom. Also of note is that the E3 2019 FFVIIR trailer lacks the “play it first on PlayStation 4” that the other 2-4 year old trailers lack. The FFVIIR E3 2019 press release still says that it will debut first on PS4, but the meaning behind that is currently unclear.

All of this information comes from a Twitter thread made by user @Nibellion, and is supported by tweets made by members of Xbox Germany (who really shouldn’t have said anything). FFVII vanilla is now available on every modern console and PC, so this news isn’t that far-fetched, but it does come as a pleasant surprise for Xbox fans.

We’ll probably see more news about Final Fantasy VII Remake next month, so until then, keep living your life and grinding through your latest FFVII playthrough (we both know you’re doing one).
