New York Comic Con has seen an avalanche of pop culture announcements this week, but few companies had as large a presence as Marvel. With nearly a half-dozen announcements, from a brand-new live-action series to three more seasons of Zombies, Marvel certainly had a wealth of info to share. Let’s go over it one-by-one.
First up at the Marvel Entertainment panel was VisionQuest, the new Vision-centric Disney Plus show that’ll help set the stage for Avengers: Doomsday. Attendees were treated to a surprise screening of the entire first episode, but you’ll have to make do with a quick minute-long teaser.
The first big announcement was Zodiac, a brand-new live-action spy-thriller Disney Plus series. Zodiac is planned to release in 2028 and will begin filming soon. While we don’t exactly know what the series is about, we have seen the logo, and Head of Marvel Television, Animation and Comics Brad Winderbaum teased that comic fans would be able to find lots of “hints” in it. Of course, comic fans will likely know that there’s a cabal of supervillains known as Zodiac.

Marvel Zombies will be returning for three more two-part special events, spread across the next three years evenly. These are Marvel Zombies: Winter Soldier for Halloween 2027, Marvel Zombies: Fist of Khonshu for Halloween 2028, and Marvel Zombies: The Last Guardian for Halloween 2029.
After that, there was an exclusive look at Season 3 of X-Men ’97, which sadly remains exclusive to the show and hasn’t been posted online anywhere. But next, a release date for Season 2 of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man was announced, with the series hitting Disney Plus on January 13, 2027.
Finally, the cast of Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 was brought on stage, confirming that a full Defenders reunion will happen, as Finn Jones will be reprising his role as Danny Rand/Iron Fist. Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 will air on Disney Plus in 2027.
