A Quiet Place: Day One Releases A Chilling Trailer Showing The Invasion

John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place from 2018 took the suspense world by storm, implementing a dystopian future where blind extraterrestrial invaders hunt human beings, and today a trailer for A Quiet Place: Day One has been revealed.

The events of the first two A Quiet Place films occur post-invasion when it seems humans have already lost against the threatening invaders, but this newest film, A Quiet Place: Day One will reveal what happened on the day the aliens first came to Earth. It’s worth mentioning John Krasinski directed the previous two Quiet Place films before this spin-off, but the directorial reins have changed hands to Michael Sarnoski (Pig). A trailer for A Quiet Place: Day One has been released today, and fans can see it just below.

Krasinski said to Deadline, “One of my great joys has been creating and expanding the Quiet Place universe, and I couldn’t be more excited for this next installment” regarding the film series’ latest entry. While the first two films in the series were based on the Abbott Family and how they survive dealing with the extraterrestrials, this film will show the day the aliens decided to occupy Earth. The events showcased in the Quiet Place: Day One trailer show the reactions of a woman (and the entire city) named Sam (Lupita Nyong’o) on the first day of the invasion among a packed metropolis of confused bystanders.

A Quiet Place: Day One will launch in theatres everywhere in June, and fans can head over to the official Quiet Place video game website to check out the planned game spin-off from the films in the meantime.
