It’s time to don the cowl once again. Amazon and Warner Bros. announce Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles, launching exclusively on Amazon Luna on July 31, 2026.
With Batman: Caped Crusader premiering its second season on July 31, 2026, Amazon and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment attended the San Diego Comic Con 2026 to unveil the arrival of Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles, an exclusive Amazon Luna title joining the GameNight catalogue. Launching alongside the animated series second season, up to four players must work together with Batman and Detective Montoya to stop Batman Rogue Gallery from harming Gotham City, playable by connecting the game to the TV with their phones as controllers through the Amazon Luna app.
Featuring a unique 1940s noir art style, Batman: Caped Crusader follows Bruce Wayne taking on the mantle of Batman, fighting crimes at night in Gotham City with a small group of allies, including his trusty butler Alfred Pennyworth, Commissioner Jim Gordon, Barbara Gordon, and Detective Renee Montoya. During the first season run, Batman encounters many iconic and lesser-known villains, such as The Penguin, Clayface, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, Two-Face, and many more. With the second season premiering on July 31, 2026, fans can expect to see The Riddler, The Joker following his brief appearance in the first season finale, Man-Bat, and more.
Stepping into Gotham City, Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles recruits four players into the Special GCPD Task Force as detectives, working alongside Batman and Detective Montoya to solve crimes across 11 episodic missions. As detectives, players must uncover evidence, chase down their leads, and confront many supervillains terrorizing Gotham City, including Scarecrow, Babyface, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, Dollmaker, Music Meister, and The Joker. Additionally, many minigames will be available, putting the players’ detective skills to the test as they investigate and interrogate suspects, scan for fingerprints, piece together torn maps and broken items, decrypt codes, and defuse bombs.
Not to mention, Hamish Linkstar (Batman) and Michelle C. Bonilla (Detective Montoya) will reprise their role from the animated series in the upcoming Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles.
For those who may not know, Amazon Luna is a cloud-gaming service, featuring a wide variety of games for Prime members to play on their Amazon Fire TV, select Samsung and LG Smart TVs, Android, iOS, PC, Mac, and Chromebook. Alongside many shows, movies, and sports available on Prime Video, Prime members can scroll to the new Game tab and start playing their games right away with their controller or phone.
Arriving just in time before the launch of Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles and the animated series second season, the Director of Amazon Game Studios, J.C.
