Today, Bohemia Interactive has put out a huge update for Arma 3, adding an impressive new 3D map editor.
Among the myriad of other things, the Eden update improves the general look of the game with new textures, as well as sounding better with a new sound engine. This helps to make for better distance sound effects. On top of that, there’s now a better server browser and general performance improvements.

The 3D map editor looks like some powerful stuff and that it’ll make for way more community made scenarios to lengthen the lifespan of a game that came out in 2013. It’s great to see a developer continue to support their game long after launch with free updates of this magnitude.
Later this year, Arma 3 is expecting to see the release of its next DLC, Apex. It’s currently $66.49 on Steam.

Thanks to NeoGAF user Artsi for showing the game some love.
