Yusuf Mehdi, Xbox chief marketing officer, announced at the Citi Global Technology Conference held in New York on Sept. 4 that Xbox One’s CPU has been boosted to 150MHz, raising it from 1.6GHz to 1.75GHz.

Last month, Microsoft corporate vice president Marc Whitten announced that the company will be raising the system’s GPU clock speed from 800MHz to 853MHz following earlier estimates of the consoles capabilities.

Medhi said, “This will be the biggest launch we’ve ever done by a wide margin in terms of units shipped at launch.”

The Xbox One will launch this November for $499.
