Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Announced & Pre-Orders Are Live

Activision has finally pulled back the curtain on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and not only have they provided a trailer, they’ve released juicy details on release, and pre-orders are live too.

Finally, Modern Warfare 3 has come back to this generation of consoles. Activision had a mega-release event yesterday, complete with a lot of information surrounding the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 release. While fans knew this day would come, it’s finally here, and the third entry picks up right where Modern Warfare 2 left off. The exciting reveal trailer can be seen below, and it features gameplay.

Lead developer Sledgehammer Games is partnering with original trilogy developer Infinity Ward to bring Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 to consoles. Modern Warfare 3 places emphasis on multiplayer, bringing 16 fan-favourite returning maps from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2, while also promising at least 12 new maps post launch.

Also, to provide PvE multiplayer content, Call of Duty Zombies is coming to Modern Warfare 3, complete with the largest ever Zombies map to date, it’s being referred to as ‘an open world’. The returning maps from MW2 are listed below

Interestingly, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will also let fans carry over their progress from Modern Warfare 2, allowing them to retain their favourite customization options, and weapons upon launch of the new title. As with almost every other massive release, Modern Warfare 3 will launch with notable pre-order bonuses.

First off, all pre-orders come with an early campaign unlock on November 3. This is a full week before the game officially launches, as well as upcoming open beta access(to be announced). All pre-orders also come with the Soap Operator DLC pack, which comes with two new character skins, and a weapon blueprint that can be used in Modern Warfare 2 and Vanguard.

GameStop is also returning with an exclusive steelbook case this time around, The previous release also saw this bonus from GameStop, and it is exclusive for those who go to their local retailers to procure their pre-order.
