Dave Bautista Busy With Knives Out 2 Casting and Army of the Dead Trailer

Netflix Partnerships Continue

Dave Bautista Gets Knives Out 2 Casting—Army of the Dead Trailer

Dave Bautista continues to work in partnership with Netflix, getting a role in Knives Out 2 while seeing a new trailer drop for the upcoming Army of the Dead.

Netflix purchased the rights to Knives Out’s second and third iterations for over $450 million, and now we are starting to see the cast come together, with Deadline Hollywood reporting that Dave Bautista is set for an unknown role, joining the sequel alongside Daniel Craig’s Detective Benoit Blanc. The two previously worked together on the James Bond film Spectre.

The first Knives Out earned more than $300 million at the box office, priming Netflix to make the purchase, where another top-tier cast is meant to star in the subsequent sequels. While the plot details are currently unavailable, it’s sure to be another murder-mystery with unexpected twists.

This marks a continuation of Netflix-exclusive films casting the Guardians of the Galaxy star, with Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead also seeing the behemoth wrestler-turned-actor as a part of the cast. Outside of Netflix’s wheelhouse we will be seeing Dave Bautista in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune remake, as well as Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Thor: Love and Thunder.

Today also marks the reveal of another trailer for the aforementioned Army of the Dead, where we see a zombie tiger hunting the crew.

Valentine is sure to give Mr. Baustista and his companions a good time, but regardless Dave is seeing an abundance of work as of late, even though he recently mentioned he might not be continuing his work as Drax in the Marvel universe following his involvement in the next two films he’s currently set for.

His casting in other films might be making that an easier decision, but he also mentioned his age as a reason behind the potential choice, where he would be 54-years-old following Guardians 3. We will have to wait and see what happens with the franchise as time goes on.
