Behaviour Interactive’s popular multiplayer survivor horror game, Dead by Daylight, has just released a new cosmetic collection for its Killers based on the heavy metal band Slipknot.
In collaboration with legendary heavy metal band Slipknot. Dead by Daylight is introducing eight new cosmetics for players to get their hands on. A trailer was released to celebrate, which you can watch below:
Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer survivor horror game developed and published by Behaviour Interactive. The goal of the game is to survive against the Killer. One player takes on the role of the Killer, while four other players play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught, tortured, and killed. Survivors play in a third-person perspective, which gives them better situational awareness, while the Killer plays in a first-person perspective to focus on each of their targets. The Survivors’ goal is to escape the Killing Ground, which is the stage at which each game takes place, and avoid getting caught by the Killer.
This new collaboration with Slipknot has introduced new cosmetic items for Killers to wear in the game to make them even more menacing to the Survivors: seven masks and a new outfit. Inspired by the band’s more recent look, the Slipknot Collection features masked tailormade for eight of the currently 35 released killers. This includes The Wraith, The Deathslinger, The Doctor, The Clown, The Hillbilly, The Blight, The Trapper, and a masked full Outfit for The Legion (Frank). Aside from the outfit for The Legion (Frank), players will be able to mix and match the masks with other cosmetics currently released in the game alongside future cosmetics.
Dead by Daylight is no stranger to collaborations. The game has been out since 2016 and has collaborated with numerous other series, most specifically tied to the horror genre, such as Resident Evil, The Ring, and Silent Hill, among many others. This collaboration is just another one among the continuing trend of adding even more horror elements to the game, and the masks that Slipknot wears on stage are quite dreadful in a good way.
