Kojima Productions and 505 Games, a video game publisher, have announced that Death Stranding Director’s Cut will launch on Xbox Series X and S today for its fifth anniversary.
To mark the fifth anniversary of Death Stranding Director’s Cut, Kojima Productions and 505 Games have announced the game will launch on Xbox Series X and S today with a 50 percent discount for a limited time. Alongside bringing the award-winning title to more console platforms and expanding on the stories in Death Stranding 2, Kojima Productions is proud to announce that the studio now has full ownership of the Death Stranding intellectual property.

Fans of cinema will be glad to know that Death Stranding Director’s Cut features acting and voice talent from several stars, including Norman Reedus as Sam Bridges, Mads Mikkelsen as Cliff Unger, Margaret Qualley as Mama, and Lindsay Wagner as Bridget and the model for Amelie.
The story of Death Stranding Director’s Cut focuses on players reconnecting a fractured society after a tragic “Death Stranding” event. This event opened a doorway between the living and the dead, allowing creatures from the afterlife to roam a fallen world darkened by a gloomy society. Playing as Sam Bridges, players carry the disconnected remnants of humanity’s future in their hands, embarking on a mission to deliver hope to humanity by connecting the last survivors of a shattered America.
