Kojima Teases Inclusion of Director Edgar Wright in Death Stranding

The latest Death Stranding trailer seems to indicate the inclusion of famed writer and director, Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead).

Kojima Productions just finished showing off their latest trailer for Death Stranding during Gamescom 2019 which is currently underway at Cologne, Germany. The 30-minute demo, which showed off some of the game world, also happened to include footage of Edgar Wright and other familiar faces. Geoff Keighley, who happens to be good friends with Kojima and company (GameTrailers, Game Awards) will appear in the game as a hologram character.

Twitter user Wario64 posted the following tweet, which seemingly confirms Wright’s inclusion in the forthcoming game.

It is unclear on what Edgar Wright’s role will be in Death Stranding, but according to the tweet above, he seems to have at the very least, been 3D scanned and modeled for use in some capacity.

Other notable people that have shown up at either Kojima Productions or within the game world of Death Stranding, include the likes of Masahiro Sakurai (Super Smash Brothers) Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal), and of course, Guillemero Del Toro (Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark), who appears prominently as a character within several trailers for the game.

The main character of Death Stranding also stars Norman Reedus, best known for his role as Daryl Dixon on The Walking Dead.

Death Stranding was first announced all the back at E3 2016, since then, Kojima Productions have drip-fed fans information regarding the title. Death Stranding is expected to launch on November 8, 2019, exclusively on PlayStation 4, although it has been rumoured the game may come to PC in the future.
