Ready your space ships and prepare to explore the galaxy because season 3 of Elite Dangerous will start things off with an open beta for Beyond-Chapter One.
Elite Dangerous lets players take control of their own space ship in a massive galaxy that is full with allies and enemies. They can shape their own adventure as they see fit.
The New Chapter One enhances the existing gameplay experience by introducing a large amount of new content for content commanders to enjoy while exploring the galaxy. Chapter One is the first update for the third season of Elite Dangerous.
In the open beta, there will be Wing Missions that bring challenging team-based objectives for players to complete with their friends and others form the community. Players will also get to share their achievements and rewards with their allies as they work together to complete objectives.
Chapter One also introduces advanced in-game Trading Data that will encourage traders to make better deals and smoother transactions. Players will also be able to access galactic economy on a more free basis. This allows players to access the information any time they want as they attempt to become master merchants.
Elite Dangerous also sports a Frontier’s COBRA game engine which enhances the gaming experience as it improves surface colours to appear more vibrant and better geological properties.
Chapter One will also let players access a whole slew of new features. Such as changes to the engineering mechanics, an overhaul of mission rewards and an altered crime and punishment system. Commanders will also get the chance to fly the new Alliance Warship: the Chieftain. Lastly, players will always be able to keep up with the galaxy news as the GalNet Audio will always keep commanders in the loop.
Elite Dangerous and Elite Dangerous: Horizons are available no for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Elite Dangerous: Beyond-Chapter One will be available for free to Elite Dangerous players one PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox one.
The Chapter One beta itself will be available to all PC players through the in-game launcher on January 25.
