The Lenovo ThinkPad 16” Click-Go Backpack Aura Edition is an impressive 18L everyday carry pack designed to provide protective functionality for commuters and professionals. With 12 storage pockets, a unique Fidlock fastener and magnetic closers, the Click-Go backpack provides quick access to almost every part of its storage. Throw in a rugged shell and smart, full-open main pouch, Lenovo has done a great job with the Click-Go’s design.
Measuring 300 x 440 mm (11.8 x 17.3 inches), the Click-Go is a well-designed 18L backpack. Designed from tough polyester with an RPET exterior, the pack features moulded EVA panels for extra protection, along with a fully reinforced construction that results in a water-resistant outer shell and a sturdy overall build. The main pouch zipper also includes additional waterproofing measures and, when closed, covers the zip with a silicone, water-repellent seal.
The zippers glide well without any notable issues. While not as robust in feel compared to some other premium bags I’ve tested, they have yet to get snagged and have no issue opening and closing with a single hand. The main pouch zipper specifically provides a quick, smooth zipping experience that can easily be performed with one hand.
A single grab handle located at the top of the bag provides an easy carry option, with the main straps providing robust padding for additional comfort when carried on your back. While I was a bit concerned about the thinner connection points between the bag and straps, the double-layer material has held up well in testing, even with significant weight in the bag.
The main pouch provides a full-open design from the front, allowing for easy organization and access. I’m a fan of this design, most recently experiencing it when testing the Peak Design Travel Backpack 20L. It makes organizing and even finding items in your bag quick and easy. I appreciate that Lenovo has adopted this design with the Click-Go.
My one critique of the implementation here, though, is the dual zipper placement. While they are easy to access and use when fully opening the bag, their side-mounted position makes it less than ideal if you want to quickly access your items from the top of the bag, most notably while stuck on a plane. While still possible to do, it’s a bit more cumbersome than it needs to be.

That being said, I have truly appreciated the aforementioned Fidlock fastener and its implementation on the dedicated laptop pouch located on the back portion of the bag. The Fidlock system is essentially a quick-release strap that couples with the magnetically sealed pouch. When engaged, the system stays secure even when the bag is haphazardly tossed about, ensuring the laptop inside stays secure. When released, though, the Fidlock quickly disconnects, giving full access to the pouch instantly.
There are some other design features that provide additional quality of life to the Click-Go user experience as well. Housing two side compartments designed for water bottles and other easy-access items you want to store, the Lenovo ThinkPad 16” Click-Go Backpack’s side compartments feature a magnetic fastener that easily releases to fit the aforementioned items. What makes this system great is that, when not in use, the pouches fold in to reduce the overall profile, magnetically held in place. It’s a simple but impressive design feature that I appreciate.
The Click-Go also houses a pass-through luggage strap that contains a small, concealed pouch ideal for storing a passport or other important travel documents. It’s a smart use of the luggage strap, and I’ve also appreciated the inclusion of additional padding on this and most every other aspect of the bag.
The main compartment is also well designed and laid out. It includes multiple pouches, two zipped compartments and dual USB battery bank storage and access points, one of which feeds directly into the laptop pouch. It allows for easy organization of a host of items, including an additional tablet, and makes finding things quick and painless.
The final note on the Click-Go is the inclusion of the aforementioned padding. While much of it is designed to provide additional comfort for users, Lenovo also added additional padding to protect key items like the laptop. The bottom of the bag includes reinforced padding for the laptop and main compartment, which, as someone who tends to drop their laptop in their bag without thinking, has appreciated greatly.
The Lenovo ThinkPad 16” Click-Go Backpack Aura Edition is a solid, everyday carry backpack. With its reinforced and padded design, it is also a solid travel companion no matter your form of transportation. While the main pouch zipper design could be improved, the overall build quality and layout of the Click-Go make it an excellent option for those looking for a premium bag under $150.
