Epic Games announced today that Fortnite will be coming to PAX West 2018. The event will be in downtown Seattle, and the team will be landing on August 31 through September 3.
Fortnite at PAX West 2018 will not only feature activities for groups and individuals, but also the end of the Summer Skirmish tournament series. The live special is a $1,500,000 USD tournament that’s open to all PAX West 2018 attendees. Registration for it will be held on-site at Lot 73 on 8th and Pine.
The Summer Skirmish tournament will start off with three qualifier rounds, followed up by final qualifiers each night. After the final qualifiers are streamed live, the top 33 players from each night will duke it out for the Victory Royale on September 3. These Fortnite games can be watched on Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook.
As for the activities at PAX West 2018, one of them will be a mini-golf challenge, where players must complete a 9-hole Lazy Links golf course. The prize will be an exclusive set of Fortnite pins.
