It has been announced that Fortnite‘s voice of The Visitor, Ben Starr, will be on hand at Summer Game Fest 2026 to ring in the new season, Runners.
Epic Games lifted the curtain on the next Fortnite season last week, when they announced the theme would be Runners. Epic Games then officially revealed a teaser after rumours hit a boiling point, releasing a brief trailer of what’s to come in Chapter 7 Season 3. Of course, the reveal teaser is basically Fortnite characters running around and sliding with new gear that can be found on the Battle Island map in the new season. The reveal can be seen below, showcasing a whole lot of running for 30 seconds.
The new gear the characters are wearing appears to give combatants Crackdown-like superpowers, as players can be seen jumping through the air with huge hangtime, sliding for what appears to be for yards, and one player is seen wearing a backpack that looks like it is holding an angry small version of the sun. Runners doesn’t make a whole lot of sense just yet.
However, this week Epic Games announced that the full gameplay reveal will take place during the Summer Game Fest Live 2026 on Friday, June 5, and will be hosted by Ben Starr, the voice of The Visitor. The Visitor was originally introduced as the scout member of The Seven (alongside The Rock’s Foundation and Paradigm), and their original mission was to protect Zero Point.
It’s possible The Visitor could be reintroduced to Fortnite, but it’s too soon to tell, as all that has been announced so far is that Ben Starr is helming the gameplay reveal trailer at Summer Game Fest 2026. If fans want to watch live, they can tune in to the massive showcase set to air on Friday, June 5 at 5:00 p.m. EST on the official Summer Game Fest YouTube account. It’s not known exactly where in the showcase Fortnite will land, but just look for Ben Starr, that will be the signal needed.
