The Epic Games Store has officially kicked off its Holiday Sale for 2023; this year, free games have come back. Destiny 2: Legacy Collection is the first up to bat, and it is 100% FREE.
Some may be thinking, “Isn’t Destiny 2 free to play?” well, it sure is, but Destiny 2: Legacy Collection includes the Witch Queen, Beyond Light, and Shadowkeep expansions for free as well. There are going to be a whopping 17 free games on offer for the Holidays at the Epic Games Store this season, which starts today and ends on January 10, 2024.
The Epic Games Store is also bringing 33% savings with ‘Epic Coupons’ at checkout on all eligible transactions priced at or combined to $14.99 or more. For example, fans can snag Game Awards 2023 multi-category winner Alan Wake 2 for a sale price of $39.99 (20% off) right now from the site. Further, those who do snag a copy of Alan Wake 2 can grab a voucher for Alan Wake Remastered for FREE.
It’s worth noting that while the reusable 33% Epic Coupons can be used on full titles, it appears to not work for DLC, in-game content or currency at the moment. So, aside from the free Destiny 2 DLC today, other DLC will stay the same price. Fans looking forward to The Final Shape and have yet to catch up on Destiny 2 may find this FREE bundle worthwhile. Fans should act before December 20, though, as the Legacy Collection will no longer be free at that time, but a new ‘mystery game’ will be revealed then, and the Epic Games Store has an active countdown ticking until that happens. Oh, and that game will be free as well.
Fans can snag these huge savings over on the official Epic Games Store. While terms of service do apply, Epic Coupons will also apply to eligible transactions between today and January 10, 2024, so fans should jump into these sales while they last, especially the FREE ones.
