Grand Theft Auto V Cost More Than Titanic to Make

Rockstar’s upcoming title Grand Theft Auto V reportedly had the development budget of a Hollywood blockbuster film.

An article from The Scotsman says the game cost around £170 million, which is around $267 million USD. According to Kotaku, this would make Grand Theft Auto V the most expensive video-game ever made.

When compared to expensive Hollywood films, Grand Theft Auto V has a bigger budget than The Dark Knight Rises, Man of Steel, Titanic and Quantam of Solace.

This is massive for a video-game and only further reinforces Rockstar’s promise of a giant, living open-world game.

Be sure to check out Grand Theft Auto V, which releases on September 17th worldwide for PS3 and Xbox 360.
