The new Hogwarts Legacy talent trailer features Simon Pegg as Headmaster Phineas Nigellus Black for the upcoming anticipated title set in the Wizarding World.
Warner Bros. Games has yanked back the curtain on the voices prominently featured in the new Hogwarts Legacy game still set to release for Xbox Series S/X and PlayStation 5 on February 10 (February 7 for Deluxe Edition adopters). Not only have voice actors been revealed, ancestors of notable wizard families such as the Weasleys and the Black family have been tagged as centre roles in the new game in the Wizarding World. Simon Pegg will voice Headmaster Phineas Nigellus Black, who is nothing like the character Sirius Black portrayed by Gary Oldman in the 8-film series but is his ancestor nonetheless. The trailer can be seen below.
Simon Pegg refers to his character as “the least popular Headmaster in the history of Hogwarts,” in reference to his likability, and will likely play a huge role in the narrative as well as a plot foil for the main created student at Hogwarts. Although not seen in the above video, more of the voice talent for the massive title has been revealed on the @HogwartsLegacy Twitter account with:
- Playable Created Avatar – voiced by Sebastian Croft / Amelia Gething)
- Professor Matilda Weasley, voiced by Lesley Nicol will play the role of Deputy Headmistress.
- Professor Onai, voiced by Kandace Caine will play the role of Divination Professor at Hogwarts.
- Professor Satyavati Shah, voiced by Sohm Kapila as Professor of Astronomy.
- Everett Clopton, voiced by Luke Youngblood (who played Lee Jordan in the Harry Potter film franchise) as a Ravenclaw student.
- Mahendra Pehlwaan, voiced by Asif Ali as a Ravenclaw student.
- Nearly Headless Nick/Sorting Hat will both be voiced by Jason Anthony. Both characters add to the depth of the experience and lend themselves from the massive book/film series to the title. Nick, is the Gryffindor House Ghost, and the Sorting Hat is a sentient hat that sorts the player into their house in Hogwarts Legacy.

While Hogwarts Legacy has been delayed numerous times, it seems the set release date for February 10 is actually in stone. With less than a month away, fans can expect a slow burn of released info regarding the exciting title all the way up until release.
