HoYoverse has shared the first details of the next major update for Honkai: Star Rail, Version 4.6, arriving on August 26, 2026.
Titled “To Roll the Stars in Astropolis,” the update takes place after the crew defeats Lord Ravager Asat Pramad, as Trailblazers prepare to set out for Astropolis. Here’s the official description of the story for 4.6,
“To find the crucial strength needed to aid Planarcadia, Trailblazers will attempt to evade the Voracity’s obstruction and officially depart for Astropolis, the headquarters of the Interastral Peace Entertainment. There, Trailblazers will navigate the complex hierarchy of upper management to secure the key power required to help Planarcadia survive this calamity. Additionally, the Trailblazer will embark on an unforgettable interstellar vacation in Astropolis alongside Robin and Aventurine.”
Of course, as with any update, the thing most players will care about is the new characters. Version 4.6 adds two brand-new alternate limited 5-star versions of characters into the mix: Robin (Summeretto – Remembrance: Wind) and Aventurine (Waveflair – Elation: Quantum). If you find yourself having a particular affinity for either, you should probably get ready to do a few pulls.
In addition to those two, however, the 5-star characters Hyacine and Ashveil will appear in Warp events during the first and second halves of the version, respectively, in order to provide combat support to Trailblazers.
This version will also include a couple of unique events, including the F-Zero-esque racing minigame “Overdrive: Whirwind Grand Prix,” found in Astropolis. This is also a cute sort of puppet show called Miniscule Grand Adventure.
Starting with Version 4.6 and beyond, Honkai will roll out its collaboration with MOONDROP. Sparxie-themed collaboration products and events will happen both online and in person worldwide, and HoYoverse says more details will be announced soon. At the same time, Honkai will collaborate with Zenless Zone Zero later this year, although no details have been announced yet.
