Intel is soon to be hosting a TEKKEN 8 Esport Tournament in partnership with NorQuest College at Game Con Canada 2024 on June 15th, 2024.
With Game Con Canada 2024 right around the corner, Intel will be hosting a TEKKEN 8 Esport Tournament in partnership with NorQuest College on Saturday, June 15th, with the finals on Sunday. The final will be held on the 100-foot wide, 34-foot tall 9K LED wall Memory Express Mega Stage. As players participate in the tournament, they can win gaming peripherals valued at $1,150.00 and a prize pool worth up to $500 for 2nd to 4th place players.
To participate in the TEKKEN 8 Esport Tournament held by Intel, players can register online from now until June 13th, 6:00 PM and must purchase a GCC day pass to register. On the day the tournament starts, players must check in at the NorQuest Esports registration desk from the Intel Booth from 10 AM to 11:30 AM, as the tournament starts at noon and onward.
As players participate in the Intel TEKKEN 8 Tournament, they will be playing on the cutting-edge Intel PC but must bring their controller and accessories. For the details about the tournament:
- Double Elimination.
- Tournament Mode Default Setting.
- 3/5 Round Per Game.
- 2/3 Games Per Set.
- 3/5 Games for Winners, Losers, and Grand Finals.
- Random stage selection for Game 1.
- The winner of the prior game must keep the same character.
- The losers of the prior game may switch stages but with the same character or switch characters but with random stages.
- No customization of colours, names, or items at any time before or during the match. Any player that breaks the rule will be given a loss.
- The winners of Saturday’s bracket will be provided complimentary Sunday Passes to compete on the Memory Express Mega Stage for the final match!
As the player climbs the rank to showcase they are the best, the top 4 players in the TEKKEN 8 Esports Tournament will be awarded for their dedication and skills. Some of the rewards players could earn are:
- 1st Place – Intel Core i7 4700k + Sparkle Intel Arc A750 Titan OC Edition. Value at $1,150.00.
- 2nd Place – GameConCanada partner prize + $250.
