Street Fighter 6 continues its food-based collaborations with KFC throwing its frontman, Colonel Sanders, into the fray with their own secret recipe of combos and deals.

Utilizing Street Fighter 6’s ability to customize and create your very own characters as a part of the World Tour mode, fast-food chain KFC has joined the fight with their secret recipe—Colonel Sanders and his mighty pecs. With a special recipe code, you can download KFC’s crazy creation and fight against Street Fighter’s classic characters with the world’s most famous chicken chef. This promotion starts today and will run until August 31st, as players who use The Colonel’s avatar can get any combo they want at participating KFC restaurants.

This announcement follows Street Fighter 6’s recent collaboration with fellow restaurant chain, Chipotle, as the fighting game continues to find ways to fill people’s stomachs alongside their combo meters. Here’s the message from KFC Canada alongside today’s announcement: “Using the game’s complex editor, the brand and AOR Courage created a fight-ready version of The Colonel, complete with his iconic white hair, black-rimmed glasses, and identifiable goatee. Dressed in white and larger than life, Chef Colonel Sanders fits right in next to Street Fighter’s roster of characters.”

“Right now, every brand wants to get into the world of e-sports. With the introduction of ‘Recipes’ to ‘Street Fighter 6, we saw an opportunity to connect with gamers organically through our most iconic brand asset – and create a value exchange that’s authentic to the gameplay itself,” says Marketing Director at KFC Canada, Azim Akhter.

Additionally, for those looking to really show off their chicken-chopping skills, complete a hit combo, record it, share it, and tag @kfc_canada for a chance to receive a $50 gift card for some KFC deliciousness. While the customizable avatars coming to Street Fighter 6 can range from bonkers to gritty, it seems this sort of collaboration with companies featuring iconic characters could easily continue into the future as Street Fighter 6 continues to dominate the conversation recently surrounding the fighting game community.
