Potter and Villagers Get Bricked

Rumours: LEGO Animal Crossing Sets & LEGO Harry Potter Game

The internet is abuzz today due to new LEGO rumours, and this time, a Harry Potter game and Animal Crossing sets are the latest to get bricked.

What a day to be a fan of LEGO and rumours. Yesterday, there may have been a monumental leak (caught by VGC) regarding what’s next for the Harry Potter franchise, but more importantly, the potential existence of a new LEGO Harry Potter title. Today, there are also apparently Animal Crossing building sets on the way, with prices ranging from .99 to .99. Whether fans want to bring bricks into a video game or out of a video game, these rumours have got fans covered.

The leak comes by way of the Warner Bros. South Africa Instagram account and shows the iconic mini-figure of Harry Potter, and it includes the date August 25, 2023. The post was almost instantly removed after it was posted. Still, the image allegedly had the logo for the previous Skywalker Saga developers TT Games, who are also responsible for many of the other LEGO video game titles.

Harry Potter recently made a resurgence in the video game industry due to the success of Hogwarts Legacy, so TT Games may be trying to recapture some of the magic from the 2016 Collection release, or maybe TT Games will give LEGO Harry Potter the Skywalker Saga treatment.

LEGO Animal Crossing Sets Rumour

Rumours: Lego Animal Crossing Sets &Amp; Lego Harry Potter Game

Back in 2020, NintendoLife reported on a fan-made Nook’s Cranny LEGO set, that looked like the real deal as part of the big ‘Ideas Campaign.’ This campaign had users submit their own ideas, and with 1000 supporters, the ideas would be officially reviewed on the official LEGO review board and potentially put to market. Known brick leaker, Instagram user exabrickslegogo_ posted the rumoured new sets, with prices, piece counts, and set design numbers. These can be seen below.

  • Set 77046 – $14.99 (170 pieces)
  • Set 77047 – $19.99 (164 pieces)
  • Set 77048 – $29.99 (233 pieces)
  • Set 77049 – $39.99 (389 pieces)
  • Set 77050 – $74.99 (535 pieces)

While both of these rumours are exciting, readers should take this news with a grain of salt. As of this moment, these rumours remain officially unannounced, and fans should remain hopeful for an official release. Fans into rumours and speculation can head over to the other brick-leak featuring the potential 2K Goooal! that also remains currently unannounced.
