Ultimate Alliance 4?

Marvel Entertainment Makes Another Ultimate Alliance With Skydance New Media

Marvel Entertainment and Skydance New Media have announced they’re in cahoots for a new interactive title that aims to be legendary.

Marvel really knows how to choose their allies.

Skydance New Media, a branch of the company Skydance Media, is an interactive division that aims to deliver quality games. The award-winning writer formerly of Naughty Dog, and The Legacy of Kain series, Amy Hennig leads this ambitious division in a partnership with Marvel Entertainment in hopes of delivering fans a completely original, narrative-focused, action-adventure game that gives fans a completely new look at such a prestigious universe.

This is the first foray the new Skydance New Media studio is making into games, and it is a doozy. With former EA Producer Julian Beak on board as Vice President and co-founder of the studio, it’s safe to say this new blockbuster is in good hands.

President of Skydance New Media, Amy Hennig said “I can’t imagine a better partner than Marvel for our first game,” including “The Marvel Universe epitomizes all the action, mystery and thrills of the pulp adventure genre that I adore and lends itself perfectly to an interactive experience. It’s an honor to be able to tell an original story with all the humanity, complexity, and humor that makes Marvel characters so enduring and to enable our players to embody these heroes that they love.”

It seems all sides are completely on board in the partnership as Executive Vice President & Head of Marvel Games, Jay Ong said “Amy has been setting the bar for narrative adventure games for decades and we are happy to be collaborating with the talented and experienced New Media team at Skydance,” while also mentioning “Their ambition and vision for making innovative entertainment using beloved Marvel IP was obvious from our first meeting. We’re excited to share more with Marvel fans when the time is right.”

Hopefully, this small amount of information can hold fans over as this is an incredibly exciting development for what’s in store for the new partnership. With the new AAA studio, quality is their number one focus as well as delivering a satisfying narrative for all fans.

Julian Beak stated, “We are enormously excited to be working inside the Marvel Universe to craft a rich narrative of our own.”
