Newly-Appointed Square Enix President Plans to Review Company

Newly-Appointed Square Enix President Plans to Review Company - 2013-04-03 19:04:22

As Yosuke Matsuda succeeds Yoichi Wada as new president of Square Enix, Matsuda’s first base of operations is to undertake a full review of the company.

Matsuda’s intent for a company revision comes from a string of unsuccessful turns, which includes losses, and layoffs within their Los Angeles office as means of company restructuring.

In an interview with Siliconera, Matsuda plans to take into account all of Square Enix’s duties, businesses and assets from a zero-based budgeting standpoint. He would also want to review what’s working and what isn’t, ultimately capitalizing on the resources that contribute to the company’s success.

Matsuda will assign Square Enix Europe’s CEO Phil Rogers as director of Square Enix Holdings. Rogers will assist Matsuda with his efforts of restructuring the company.
