Nintendo 2DS Gets Substantial Price Cut 1

The wallet-friendly member on the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, the Nintendo 2DS, is making Nintendo’s massive catalogue of 3DS games even more accessible with a 20 per cent price reduction.

The console initially launched in 2013 as a cheaper alternative to the Nintendo 3DS, at a price point of $129.99. The handheld was further reduced to $99.99 in the following years, and on May 20, the price is being cut down to its lowest point ever: $79.99.

The Nintendo 2DS is compatible with all 3DS games, and a free copy of Mario Kart 7 is digitally available upon purchase. For comparison, the top-of-the-line Nintendo handheld, the New Nintendo 3DS XL, retails for $239.99.
