OnePlus highlighted their collaboration with HoYoverse to announce the new OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition smartphone at MWC 2024.
If you are a Genshin Impact fan and are in need of a new phone, listen up. The Chinese global tech company OnePlus announced their special partnership with HoYoverse at the Mobile World Congress 2024 in Barcelona, which offers smartphone and gaming enthusiasts a first-look at the new OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition. The collab sees an exclusive design elegantly inspired by the character Keqing from the game, in a vibrant violet colourway. They also boasted how this version is more gaming-centric and has many integrated Genshin Impact features for users to uncover and enjoy.
The OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition contains their HyperRendering technology, along with its brand-new proprietary performance platform, the Trinity Engine. The phone’s 1.5K 1-120Hz ProXDR Display with fourth-generation LTPO supports up to 2,160Hz PWM dimming and a super high screen brightness of up to 4,500 nits. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is also used to provide the ultimate protection. Additionally, it supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and has been awarded a TÜV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care certification. Everything considered was to allow heavy mobile gamers to have a visually pleasing experience, and the performance to match those long gaming sessions.
Speaking more on performance, the OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition is tuned up with their latest engine and the HyperTouch technology that boosts the touch response rate to 1000Hz, minimizing latency. The phone also addresses memory issues through the RAM-Vita memory performance
accelerator, improving app booting and switching speeds. The OnePlus Lab was said to have run tests showing that the phone can maintain the Genshin Impact game app and up to other 5 apps running in the background for up to 72 hours! Whether you should be playing that long is a whole different question.
The phone also houses a large 5,500mAh battery that also has 100W SUPERVOOC flash charging, meaning charging can be done in a matter of minutes. Building on the entertainment experience, this phone leverages the tech from its latest flagship phone, The OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition includes the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset, dual speakers with Dolby Atmos, a 16GB RAM and 256GB large storage combination, and the fast and smooth OxygenOS 14.
Rounding up the Genshin Impact excitement, this collaboration offers more than an amazing smartphone. This phone has Kequing labelled all over it and within it. The phone boasts an Electro Violet colorway with a violet back panel.The AG matte glass cover is adorned with silvery white feather motifs, and an Electro Element with Keqing’s signature lightning stiletto design and the text “KEQING” is featured at the base of the back cover. The text can be projected when illuminated, which I did not know was physically possible.
Additionally, users are greeted with an exclusive Keqing visual and live wallpaper every time the phone is unlocked, featuring Keqing’s grace, confidence, and determined gaze. To add to the wow factor, the phone also comes in an exclusive gift box that includes specially-crafted merchandise and accessories for Genshin Impact fans. It includes a Lightning Stiletto-shaped SIM tray ejector, a violet charging adapter with Electro Element and Lightning Stiletto logos, and a violet USB Type-C charging cable with a violet LED light and a 90-degree design for convenience. Basically, if you are a Kequing stan, this is a no-brainer!
The OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition will be available for purchase in the United States and Canada on the OnePlus website from March 21, 9AM ET, with pre-orders beginning on February 28. The device will be priced starting from USD $649.99 /CAD $869.99. In addition to OnePlus’ latest phone, they have also just launched their newest flagship smartwatch: the OnePlus Watch 2. It will be available to purchase in the U.S. and Canada starting on March 4 at USD$299.99 / CAD$399.99, and comes in Radiant Steel or Black Steel colorways.
