Developer miHoYo has announced the usual slew of details for Genshin Impact Patch 4.4, which is titled Vibrant Harriers Aloft in Spring Breeze.
Like with every other Genshin Impact patch, 4.4 will introduce new banners while bringing back some older ones. This includes the addition of a new 5-star character, as well as a new 4-star character. Here’s everything you need to know, and you can watch the full special program with all the details below.
Genshin Impact 4.4 Release Date
Genshin Impact 4.4 will be released on Wednesday, January 31, and will follow the usual patch maintenance schedule. This means the patch goes live at 12pm JST. Here’s how that shakes out in different time zones.
- ET: Tuesday 30th January, 10 pm
- CT: Tuesday 30th January, 9 pm
- PT: Tuesday 30th January, 7 pm
- AET: Wednesday 31st January, 2 pm
- CET: Wednesday 31st January, 4 am
- GMT: Wednesday 31st January, 3 am
In the past, maintenance has lasted roughly five hours for each patch.
Genshin Impact 4.4 Banners
Phase 1 of 4.4’s banners will focus on the new Anemo 5-Star character Xianyun, as well as the return of Dendro 5-Star character Nahida. The new Pyro 4-Star character, Gaming, will also feature in these banners. The first phase banners will be available from Wednesday, January 1, through Wednesday, February 21.
Phase 2 of the banners runs from February 21 through March 12 and will feature the return of Anemo 5-Star Xiao and Electro 5-Stra Yae Miko.
Genshin Impact 4.4 Updates and Events
Of course, patch 4.4 will feature a host of new story content and events for players to wade through. The big addition here is an expansion to the Liyue area, with a location called Chenyu Vale. The gorgeous mountainous region has two key locations, Qiaying Villag and Yilong Wharf. Of course, the story of new characters like Gaming will feature into this area.

- Vibrant Harriers Aloft in Spring Breeze – “As the year’s end approaches, the annual Lantern Rite is about to begin. As is customary, you and Paimon return to Liyue Harbor once again, and as expected, you encounter some familiar faces.”
- Journey Through Hilinigmatic Terrain – “Mysterious statues have suddenly appeared in Dadaupa Gorge, and in their villages, the hilichurl tribes are behaving strangely. There must be some secret in the depths of these places for adventurers to discover.”
- Receiver of Freinds From Afar – “One day, you and Paimon pass through Wangshu Inn, only for a notice to attract your attention.”
- Triumphant Frenzy – “In the depths of a mysterious Domain, treacherous foes of even more mysterious origins are preparing for battle. Carefully analyze the opposing lineup and adapt swiftly to dispatch your foes!”
