The next era of Palia is here with a vast new environment and new mounts to explore it.
One year after the last major expansion, Palia has returned today to bring Palians a new adventure across the sea in the golden horizons of the Royal Highlands. Alongside a wealth of new items and quests to interact with, the big feature with this expansion is the new mount system, where Palians can befriend and ride horses, as well as create new ranches to house them. Creative Palians can also use the new Clothing Dye system to customize their outfits!
The story of the Royal Highlands is that of a land untouched by anyone other than the Enfield family before the Unification Wars, and has sat vacant by none save a few creatures ever since. Palia players will set out from Elderwood’s De Mer Docks to explore the Royal Highlands, experiencing the next chapter of the game’s main story.

Palians will get a quest soon after landing in the Royal Highlands that will quickly introduce them to their first horse and the Mount system, which includes ranching, breeding, and raising horses. The breeds to choose from are the Dawnspur and Akwindu Thoroughbred, with the mythical, fiery Phoenixfire Dawnspur obtainable by progressing the new quests. Players can ride horses just about anywhere at several different speeds, and riding at top speed requires stamina, but glowing sparks across the land can restore your horse’s stamina to maintain that high speed.
While the old clothing colour presets still exist, Palia has overhauled the colouring system with new dyes that can change the look of four distinct parts of every default outfit and a select few premium ones. To start dyeing, a player needs to unlock Palettes, with four already available by default and more available to purchase using 25 Tailor Tickets each.
Besides the highlights and new quests, Palia players can also expect to see several of the following features during their journeys.
