Pokémon and Krispy Kreme Announce Limited-Time Doughnut Collaborartion

If you need something to give your morning a little kick, Krispy Kreme has just the thing for you. The popular doughnut chain has announced a new collaboration with Pokémon, bringing specially themed (and flavoured) doughnuts to shops for a limited time. The collaboration begins on August 18 and runs for a “limited time,” though Krispy Kreme doesn’t list an end date.

The collaboration is set to help celebrate the 30th anniversary of Pokémon, and it’s added to a long, long line of Pokémon collaborations, everything from LEGO Pokémon that talk to you via Smart Brick to Build-a-Bears, kitchen aprons, and much more. At this point, there’s enough Pokémon product to theme your entire life around the creatures. And so that brings us to the breakfast table, where you can now have six exclusive Pokémon doughnuts to devour.

All six doughnuts are themed around the original Kanto Pokémon. You can, of course, buy the doughnuts individually, but if you opt for the specialty dozen, you’ll also receive a limited edition Pokémon box (just make sure to wash it if you’re planning on keeping it). You can see a picture of the doughnuts below, but because I know you want the most important information, here’s the flavour of each one straight from Krispy Kreme. If you really find yourself chomping at the bit, the official website has a pre-order button.

It’s already been a pretty big year for the Pokémon franchise. Pokémon Pokopia has become one of the best-selling games on Switch 2, racking up over 5 million copies sold. The next major entry in the franchise, Pokémon Wind and Waves, was also revealed earlier this year, with more info imminently coming.
