PlayStation State Of Play Is Back Next Month!

Sony and PlayStation have announced the date for their next State of Play, and the date is lined up right alongside Summer Game Fest.

The first week of June is looking pretty stacked with game announcements and showcases, and Sony just announced they’re taking their spot on June 2 to spotlight what’s next for PlayStation! It was confirmed on the Sony Blog that the 60-minute State of Play will feature Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Wolverine, as well as some other big announcements.

We don’t know much about the exact lineup we have coming to this next State of Play, but we do know Wolverine cut his way to the number one spot, kicking off the broadcast with extensive news and gameplay, “showing off Logan’s brutal and relentless combat” for Marvel’s Wolverine.

Marvel’s Wolverine has been heavily anticipated ever since it was revealed during the PlayStation Showcase in 2021, with no big looks at the game until last September, when the gameplay trailer was released, claiming a Fall 2026 launch. Last February, in a short 6-second video, Insomniac Games finally announced Marvel’s Wolverine would be coming on September 15, 2026.

Saros

Sony has some pretty major titles under its belt, including recently released SAROS, Helldivers 2, and the long-running racing sim, Gran Turismo 7, so there should be plenty of great announcements to look forward to. XBOX recently shared news on their next-generation console, Project Helix, so players can only hope Sony might hint at what comes after the PlayStation 5. And who knows? Maybe this year we will finally get news about a Bloodborne remake.

Looking forward to catching the next PlayStation State of Play live? Fans will just need to tune into either PlayStation’s official YouTube or Twitch channels on June 2 at 5 pm EST.
