Tekken 8 Closed Beta Coming This October, Registration Is Today

Early Reps

Tekken 8

Tekken 8 fans will have an opportunity to enter the King of the Iron Fist Tournament early this year as a closed beta has opened registrations for those who wish to test their mettle.

Those looking to get their Tekken 8 reps in before the game officially launches (and missed the closed network test back in July) will now have the opportunity to do so with a new closed beta test period scheduled for October 20. The King of the Iron Fist Tournament beckons new challengers to sign up via the Bandai Namco registration site in order to take part in the warm-up, but fans should take note that not everyone will be granted access to the beta. The latest Tekken 8 trailer can be seen below, highlighting a new returning fighter in the eighth instalment, Feng Wei.

  • Jin

Interestingly enough, players who wish to participate can do so without a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Gold subscription, and those who have participated in the closed network test (and kept it installed) merely have to update the existing download to play the beta as opposed to a new one from scratch. Important dates regarding the beta can be found below.

  • October 11th at 3:00 a.m. EST – Registration ends
  • October 18th at 3:00 a.m. EST – Selected testers will be notified and provided codes to redeem.
  • October 20th 4:00 a.m. EST – Closed Beta Testing starts.
  • October 21st 4:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. EST – Closed Beta Test downtime for server maintenance.
  • October 23rd 3:00 a.m. EST – Closed Beta Testing ends.

Fans looking to sign up can visit the registration portal on the official Bandai website now. Fans looking to take part should register immediately, as the October 11 cutoff is fast approaching. The Tekken 8 CBT starts on October 20.
