EA and developer, Maxis have announced The Sims 4: Werewolves Game Pack will release on June 16th, the news coincides with the game’s recently released update which now allows players to customize the pronouns of the characters they’ve created in the 2014 released game.
The Sims 4: Werewolves Game Pack introduces players to brand new content under the light of the full moon and that encourages players to prowl the night by transforming “into a new, exciting and wild version of themselves” as a werewolf. The Sims 4 players will also learn how to craft and customize their Sims’ werewolf identities, plus “explore the new, mysterious world of Moonwood Mill and discover the lore and secrets of their new lycanthrope life.” It doesn’t stop there as players’ werewolf creations can also hook up with their fated mates, or try to make it on their own as a lone wolf.
While June 16th seems so far away, one feature that players can get into right now is customizable pronouns which is now live as a part of a recently released update and has been in the works since last year. EA described the move as another step to make The Sims 4 a more inclusive place, the first version of the feature allows players to pick from four choices which include ‘He / Him’, ‘She / Her’, ‘They / Them’, and ‘Custom’.
For players that don’t identify with the first three choices, Maxis is allowing players to create a customized version of their preferred pronouns. Some input choices in the custom selection players can dive into include “subjective, objective, possessive dependent, possessive independent, and reflexive forms of the pronouns.
Players can check out the Werewolves Game Pack later this month or can try out the new custom pronouns feature now wherever The Sims 4 is currently avaliable on which include PC, Mac, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
