Every year the Toronto International Film Festival — or TIFF 2022 this year — shows the world what’s coming next in the film industry, and for 2022 there is some absolute heat on the menu.

With the TIFF 2022 festival right around the corner, and the notion that it is finally back in person, the exciting premiere film event is scheduled to take place between September 8 and September 18. The event is returning to an in-person affair after a mostly virtual presentation for the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and will close down King Street in the throes of the duration. It is notable to mention that as of this posting, TIFF will not require masks or any vaccination proof in order to attend.

TIFF CEO Cameron Bailey said “We will only have a small sampling of films available in Canada for at-home viewing online. The festival is happening in-person, in theatres, and that’s where we want to see everyone,” with “We had a two-year run with drive-ins, and it was an exciting new thing for us to do, but there’s all kinds of new complications of showing movies to people who are sitting in their cars, as you can imagine, but for the moment, we’re done,” regarding the return of the mainly in-person nature of the event.

Each year the exciting celebration of film from around the globe brings new features to the massive event, with the aim of spreading culture and filmography to the city of Toronto in a 10-day film extravaganza. But, without further ado here are the films currently slated to make an appearance in September.
