As Hyper Light Drifter continues along its development a recent update from the team explains that the WiiU version is in some trouble.
While initially planned as a platform to host the upcoming indie title, Heart Machine, developer of Hyper Light Drifter, has run into a bit of a snag. Some contract issues between their engine developer and the platform holder have muddied the waters about the possibility of a port.
While Heart Machine is handing out the surveys for backers to choose their console of choice and the WiiU is included, they’re prepared to give backers a second option should the Nintendo console be unavailable. While it’s not the most ideal situation, Heart Machine is still trying to move forward with the port to the Big N.
