Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Delayed Another Two Weeks 1

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is almost ready to be to hit store shelves. Work on the game is about complete, and the team is getting ready to submit the gold master for production. But even with the production being close to complete, Sony has decided to push the game launch back once again.

Now launching May 10th, two weeks after the launch was previously scheduled to give time to manufacture the discs for the increased demand for the title. With millions of PS4’s now in the wild and few first party titles to tide people over, this demand is in no way surprising.

In a statement on the PlayStation Blog, Shawn Layden – President and CEO, SCEA stated: “We know this news might be disappointing, and we are sorry to have to make you wait a little longer to play Naughty Dog’s latest. The good news is that the game is phenomenal — we are fully confident that it will be worth the wait and the team at Naughty Dog is eager as ever for you to experience Nathan Drake’s final adventure.”

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is looking to be a stunning title, with the work and design of Naughty Dog behind development, it is sure to be a solid release for the platform. As with any big title, more time to get the job done right is always better than to see a game rushed out the door. We at CGMagazine will have a full review closer to launch, and will keep everyone updated on any new information regarding Uncharted 4.
