Wolf Haus Games, developers of the upcoming cult simulator JOIN US, brought in actual ex-cult members to play the game.
Wolf Haus Games is hard at work at their upcoming action adventure cult simulator, JOIN US. Revealed back at Summer Game Fest, the title looks like a riot, where you couldn’t predict where the trailer would go next. Seems like they’re really embracing this chaotic foundation, as Wolf Haus Games decided to recruit four actual ex-cult members to play the game. It’s as ridiculous and funny as you’d expect.
Over the course of the video, all four former cultists give a little bit of background on their experience in cults. Between the four, they have over 50 years of experience living in these spaces. One speaker says their cult only used knives and was one of peace, a stark departure from the guns she’s wielding in the game. Another talks about their experience was a more holistic one, living off the land as they harvest tomatoes digitally. Or, of course, you could just really like aliens and believed their arrival was imminent. Some look like they’re having a blast as they stumble upon UFOs and shoot up gas stations, while others…not so much. It’s worth the watch.
JOIN US was revealed during Summer Game Fest 2026, with the trailer covering all the cultish bases you’d expect. Even the ex-cultists come across UFOs, get in to car chases and shoot outs, farm and build their bases, and recruit followers. Wolf Haus Games promises you’ll be able to do all that and plenty more as you set out to create the ultimate cult, taking care of your followers either solo or with some friends in up to 4-player co-op.
