Good news for those of you who don’t have Xbox Live Gold Accounts, as Microsoft will be lifting the requirement of having it for online games this weekend.

Xbox Live will be available to anyone who can connect to the internet this weekend from May 23-25th.

Users will be able to play all their favourite games online against other players without paying anything. In addition, a few select apps that require Gold accounts will also be able to be accessed without the subscription.

The Games With Gold and Deals With Gold promotions will however not be available to everyone.
