We scoured the announcements so you don’t have to, and everything announced today is collected in this article and shown below.
MagicCon Amsterdam 2027 – Reality Fracture, Spoiled!
At MagicCon Las Vegas 2026, WOTC rolled out the red carpet for the Reality Fracture headliner and revealed that each play booster pack of Reality Fracture would include both variants — the fractured reality version of a character alongside the original — inside each booster pack. Today, Wizards of the Coast popped the cork on the set, revealing more of the new cards and variations of beloved MTG characters.

Reality Fracture flips the planes of MTG on their head, and introduces warped versions of fan-favourite characters. Reality Fracture continues the overarching MTG story where Secrets of Strixhaven concludes, and it will feature a Jace Beleren who set up his base of operations in Hexhaven, a multi-versal version of Strixhaven that features flipped magical college colours, and he is now called The Theorist.
These new colleges are using an allied colour of the colour pie instead of the former colour, while retaining one of the former colour identities. In what Jace Beleren calls the Echoverse, Hexhaven’s Fatehold is the Blue/White version of Lorehold (formerly Red/White), Stingerquill is the Rakdos coloured Silverquill (formerly Black/White), and so on. Pictured above are the Reality Fractured versions of Liliana and Garruk (original Planeswalkers from the Lorwyn five) alongside a Stingerquill-flavoured card from Silverquill’s Hexhaven equivalent. Liliana and Garruk operate very differently from their original counterparts (almost opposites), and these cards will undoubtedly be powerful on the tabletops of MTG.

On top of the iconic characters getting their Reality Fractured, Magic: The Gathering has also reimagined some fan-favourite cards in opposing colours, for fans to tackle tabletops with. Craterhoof Behemoth has long been a staple in MTG play with its opposing size, stature, and ability to power up with your creatures in play, and Dark Confidant has long been a way for Black players to make their deck more consistent (at the expense of life).
Reality Fracture introduces Enlightened Confidant in White and Craterclaw Colossus in Red as fractured, fun variants of these two cards. The originals and the fractured can be seen below, alongside a new take on another Lorwyn original, Ajani, where rage and vengeance have taken over after the demise of his brother.

Reality Fracture is also releasing a brand new Secret Lair-coded product, with the Secret Lair Bundle. This new bundle has two of ten promo cards, two collector booster packs, foil lands, and six play booster packs (much like the Codex Bundle from Secrets of Strixhaven). With spoiler season incoming, Wizards of the Coast will undoubtedly show off more cards from Reality Fracture before the full set officially launches on October 2, 2026.
MagicCon Amsterdam 2026 – All In-Universe Sets for 2027

MagicCon Amsterdam 2027 also revealed the new in-universe sets coming to Magic: The Gathering in 2027, including the inclusion of another whole MagicCon event in Tokyo, Japan. This brings the tally of MagicCon events for 2027 up to four, and it gives international fans another chance to hit the tabletops. Aside from four MagicCons, Magic: The Gathering in-universe sets will start in February, with Nauctus, The Sunken Realm. Nauctus is Magic: The Gathering‘s take on an undersea plane, and it will feature merfolk, seals, homarids, and of course, otters and other sea creatures. Nauctus, The Sunken Realm launches February 5, 2027.

Magic: The Gathering is then heading back to Kamigawa in Kamigawa: Titanbreach. This new set fuses Kamigawa with Ikoria, two iconic planes in MTG history. An Omenpath opens above the neon-lit skies of Towashi, and a huge mass of Ikoria crashes through, unleashing mayhem and a clash between the two planes. The people of Kamigawa must band together to stop the monsters of Ikoria that threaten to stomp, scorch, and shatter their home. Kamigawa:
Titanbreach is coming on June 4, 2027.
The last in-universe set for 2027 brings players back to the plane of Zhalfir, last shown in March of the Machines as a safe haven for refugees during the Phrexian invasion. Magic: The Gathering players will return to the plane of Zhalfir on October 1, 2027.
