Those itching for some shinobi action have plenty to look forward to in the upcoming months. Bandai Namco has confirmed through their investor presentation that Naruto Online, an online PC Naruto title, is indeed coming this year.

As of now the game is only coming out in Japan and China (Chinese release is through Tencent Games), leaving the company’s North American and European fans to wait anxiously for a murmur of a Western release.

By the looks of it the game is turn-based and will retain the artistic style of CyberConnect2’s Ultimate Ninja Storm series, whose latest Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution comes out later this year as well. And lucky for Western devotees Revolution will see its way to our lovely continent (North America) this September.

Are you excited for Naruto Online? Or is this series taking the wrong path? Either way, those looking a new anime fighting game might find some enjoyment in Revolution which comes out for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Also be sure to check out the trailer for Naruto Online below.
